Mountain Tapir

Conservation Stories

The stories of the Andean tapir coincide with the stories of marginalized human communities, confined to the high Andean mountains, where only perseverance allows both tapirs and humans to persist in these almost inhospitable territories. Our mission is to make known the stories of tapirs and of the people who are unselfishly committed to their conservation, but who deserve to be made visible and in some way compensated for safeguarding the territories of water and of the pinchaque, the spirit of the night.
